Ready Set Work project is a complementary capacity building programme of the Lagos State Government for final year students of tertiary institutions leveraging on available technology, private-sector driven and facilitated curriculum to equip participants so as to be fit for the world of work and therefore able to create jobs for themselves or gain easy access to gainful employment soon after graduation.
The vision of the project is to build the capacity of final year students with entrepreneurship and work readiness skills so they can smoothly access the world of work either as entrepreneurs or employees soon after graduation.
For this project, 500 students were selected from different institutions (LASU, LASPOTECH and LASCOHET).

The Ready.Set.Work Training programme kicked off on Saturday 11th June, 2016 at the Main Auditorium of the Lagos State University, Ojo.
The first day featured digital training by Google.
Selected students from LASU, LASPOTECH and LASCOHET arrived as early as 7am, eager to learn. By 8am several hundred students from the 3 schools had formed queues and registration began.
The training was also open for non Ready.Set.Work selected students. More than 1000 students were seated for the training.
The Google training contained –
Intro to Digify Bytes and Introductions
Intro to Online Marketing
Traditional Marketing vs Digital Marketing
Social Media Marketing
Intro to SEO + Advanced SEO.
It was an educative, enlightening and indeed fun learning time for the students.
The students were not just TRAINED...they were also awarded Certificate of Completion by DIGIFY.
The Ready.Set.Work training will continue on Saturday 18th June, 2016 with the General Module where students will acquire general life skills.
