Kindly introduce yourself
Okay, My name is Arinola Omotanwa, a name I really do not like been called (smiles) Okeowo. I will be 22 in few weeks (February 27).

Do you have any nick/pet names?
I had a few while growing up. My secondary school friends called me ArinMoney (combining my name and surname). My brothers called me Cutiebear and someone special just started calling me that again of recent. I suck at generating nick name so I just decided to stick to my name (laughs).

You said someone started calling you cutiebear again...can we know this person?
(Smiles) it’s someone special sha.

What are your likes and dislikes?
I love talking, surfing the net, fashion, photography, honesty, real people and life. I dislike been taken advantage of, I dislike lies and fake people.

What was growing up like for you?
Growing up wasn't so rosy but I remember my brothers will always tease me about being the most lucky one because they think I came on board when things were getting all smooth and fine. I am the last born and only daughter of 5. I grew up amidst several male, we had extended family with us back then and they were all boys. I was always treated like a princess and I had this very close bond with my dad although he would always tease me about being an interim last born as if he has another baby on the way (laughs). Growing up was fun and atimes I just which I could go through that process again and again.

Tell us about your career and how it all started
Wao! This question is kind of confusing because I am involved in several things like Presenting, real estate consultancy, fashion designing but I will focus on Presenting because it’s something I basically love. Okay, how it started? Errmmm, I am an entertainment lover so I remember growing up, I would sit in front of The TV and I already have dates and time most TV stations air their entertainment programs and I was majorly in love with Labi Olayori, back when she used to host Entertainment splash and I just fell in love with what she was doing. I have always been a talker and everyone will tell me how they think I will fit perfectly as a lawyer or presenter but there I was fooling myself by thinking I was best as a Doctor.

Miss Arinola Okeowo

Fast forward to Senior Secondary School, I chose to settle down as a Science student and my dad was not okay with the idea cause then, I had poem books and story books that I wrote and he would edit, but my principal, Mrs Ogunpola asked them to let me be since I wasn't doing so bad with Science classes although I hated calculations (laughs). I struggled to survive with Secondary School and I didn't even pass some of the prerequisite subjects needed to study medicine. Dad didn't want me to just sit at home so I decided to go study mass communication as a part time student in The Polytechnic of Excellence, Lagos State Polytechnic and that was when the discovery began. Right there, I knew I wasn't going to go back to medicine, like ever!

What are your achievements so far?
Achievements? I wouldn't call what I have achievements though I am grateful to God for grace. I believe I am still a work in progress. I am not so popular in this field yet, I still have to introduce myself in some places so I think I still have a long way to go.

What are your dreams and desires?
My dreams!!! This is like a very big one because my dreams and desires are just endless. I could start mentioning right now and we wouldn't even leave this question but all I want to say is that my desires is to be successful.

Where do you hope to be in the next five years and how you plan to get there?
I hope to be a badass on air personality and presenter, I hope to be everywhere on your TV screen and radio (laughs). How I plan on getting there? I have been working on that since, I started this journey 4 years ago. I have hosted several shows for free just so I could build myself, discover my strength and weakness and build on them. I am fully ready for the world now, I am like a time bomb waiting to explode.

Can you tell us some of those shows you've hosted?
Okay, I have been the official presenter for Rhoda Youth Center for 3-4 years now and I host the yearly anniversary program. I hosted the behind the scenes of Prayer Point movie written by Chioma Okoye and produced by Purple Ribbons production. I compered several programs on campus while I was in school. I recently compered the Lagos @50 Ikorodu symposium. I will be hosting a show on February 11th (The Queen's mic) and other several shows this year.

Who is / are your mentor (s)?
The list is endless but I will make it as short as possible. Toolz O, Labi Olayori, Oprah Winfrey, Mrs Alakija, my dad just to mention a few.

What are your favorite quotes?
Quotes? I think this kind of questions makes me sound weird. I don’t have favorite Quotes, music, artist etc. I just like stuffs I can personally relate with at some point in my life but I have grown to love these:
  • What will be, will always be.
  • If your dreams don’t scare you then they are not big enough.
  • You are the best version of yourself so quit trying to be someone else.
  • Self-motivation is the best tool you need to succeed.

Thanks so much for your time
