SOUNDS OF LAGOS 2016
(a 15 minutes television documentary)
This is what a typical Lagos looks like on a normal day...
Now you can just imagine the Sounds of Lagos....
Wow...long time no post...yeah I know but am not just sitting at home doing nothing and ignoring my friends , I have been kind of busy because av been involved in a lot of things that had kept me busy for sometimes now...
Yeah where were we last time we talked? ooops I remember.... I was suppose to talk about headache vs cancer and Tatiana Maslany but the doctors I contacted are too busy to have time for my nossiness for now and as for Tatiana Maslany, unfortunately, am still waiting to watch season four of Orphan Black so as to reach a suitable conclusion.
But not to worry I have something juicy to share ... and what is it, I will continue to say this, my school LASPOTECH remains the best in Nigeria and if you think am lying, show your face and let's talk.
Anyways, LASPOTECH, in conjunction with Creative VIllage Productio, for the first time organized a film writing competition tagged '15 minutes television documentary on SOUNDS OF LAGOS'.

The most interesting thing about the theme of the script SOUNDS OF LAGOS is the fact that it is a script which can be written from different dimension and it does not restrict the writer to a particular style of writing.
The Director of Creative Village Productions, Olanrewaju Olakanlu of Mr and Mrs Kogberegbe television series was a man who will not, under any circumstance, make a film writer feel down and with that he was so encouraging and his words were so heart lifting as he encouraged students to polish and feed the spirit of writing in them.
Eke Victor emerged the winner of the 15 minutes television documentary for SOUNDS OF LAGOS the prize of a 10-inch android tab, Michael Orodare came second (first runner up) got a 10-inch android tab, not only that, he also got an opportunity to feature in Jaiye Kuti's upcoming movie Oro Mi (a true life story), for wowing everybody while performing 'SOUNDS OF LAGOS' during the award presentation. Akindele Rebecca and Sunday Odeleye, emerged the second and third runners up respectively.
Okeowo Arinola (presenter of the day...HND2 MAss COmmunication DEpartment), Mrs. Jaiye Kuti, Ufon Obong Mfon (presenter for the day... HND2 Mass Communication Department), Mr. Olanrewaju Olakanlu.
Another interesting thing about the theme of the documentary is the fact that before the competition, there was no documentary with that same theme. Also, Princess Adetope Kosoko, the former registrar of Lagos State Polytechnic urged the students to be as creative as possible and not just face one field as Mass Communication is a wide and diverse course with emerging fields coming up in the department.
All in all, everybody that won a price for the SOUNDS OF LAGOS won the prices because they were able to tell what the sound of Lagos was to them....can you do that?
WHAT IS SOUNDS OF LAGOS TO YOU???
Now that I am not too busy...expect a lot from me...remember I love hearing from you too just like you love hearing from me...
